Product: Android TV / Android TV box playlist media player (com.forge.iptv).
Summary
Forge IPTV is a playlist media player for Android TV and Android TV boxes. You provide playlist and optional EPG URLs. The app plays streams from those sources. We do not show ads.
In release builds from Google Play, channel playback requires an active Google Play free trial (when offered) or a yearly subscription. Playlist import and settings remain available without a subscription.
Data we process
On your device
The app stores locally on the device, for example:
- Playlist URL and imported channel/group metadata from your playlist
- Optional EPG URL and programme guide data downloaded from that URL
- App settings (language, decoder/aspect preferences, favorites, last channel, etc.)
- Subscription/entitlement state provided by Google Play Billing
This data stays on the device unless you clear app data or uninstall. It is not uploaded to a Forge developer server (there is no Forge playlist/EPG backend in the current version).
Network
The app connects to:
- URLs you enter (playlist M3U/M3U8, EPG/XMLTV, and media stream URLs from the playlist)
- Google Play services for distribution, updates, and subscription purchase/restore
We do not operate a Forge IPTV content catalog. Streams and guide content come from third-party URLs you choose.
Account
Forge IPTV does not require a separate Forge account. Purchases use your Google account via Google Play.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not show third-party ads in the app.
- We do not host or redistribute television channels or playlists.
Permissions
- Internet — download playlists/EPG and play streams.
Cleartext (non-HTTPS) traffic may be allowed because some IPTV providers still use HTTP URLs. Prefer HTTPS when your provider supports it.
Children’s privacy
The app is intended for a general audience on TV devices. It is not directed at children. Do not use the app to access unlawful content.
Third parties
- Google Play — install, updates, payments, fraud prevention (see Google’s policies).
- Your playlist/EPG/stream providers — they receive requests when the app fetches your URLs; their privacy practices apply to those services.
Data retention
Local app data remains until you clear storage or uninstall. Google Play retains purchase records according to Google’s policies.
Your choices
- Change or remove playlist/EPG URLs in the app.
- Clear app storage or uninstall to remove local data.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.

Changes
We may update this policy. The effective / last-updated dates above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
